Rufus & Coco 2in1 Oatmeal Wash is a professionally formulated gentle shampoo and conditioner, especially for pets with sensitive, dry or itchy skin. It is pH-balanced, and contains oatmeal extract, aloe vera and a hypo-allergenic fragrance to:

Note: It is important to use shampoo designed specifically for pets rather than your own (human) shampoo as it is too harsh for your pet’s skin.

 



Directions for use

How to care for coats, First, get your little mate all wet with warm water. Now apply some of Rufus & Coco’s 2in1 Oatmeal Wash to a few different areas of the coat, and massage it in to get a really good lather going. Then simply rinse, and towel or chamois dry. Do this whenever they need a wash, and use Rufus & Coco’s 4in1 Pamper Spray after or between washes for the very best results.

Active Ingredients

The active ingredients in Rufus & Coco’s professionally formulated 2in1 Oatmeal Wash include:

Cocomide DEA Oatmeal Extract – A solubilized oatmeal extract which blends into the shampoo base so as not to require shaking before use. It is best used on pet skin that is extra sensitive and which can sometimes be irritated by shampoo formulated with colloidal oatmeal extract (small particles of oatmeal in suspension).

Aloe Vera gel – Moisturises and promotes healing, extracted from the succulent aloe vera plant.

Panthenol (Pro Vitamin B5) – This plant-derived ingredient acts as a penetrating moisturiser. It coats the hair and seals its surface, lubricates follicles, aids detangling, provides volume, control and makes strands appear shiny.

Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein - Helps to strengthen and hydrate hair while increasing manageability gloss, body and lustre.

Cocodimonium Hydroxypropyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein – Helps prevent flyaways and tangling, a wheat (vegetable) derived conditioning and antistatic agent.

Hypoallergenic fragrance - Where many fragrances (including those with natural ingredients) may cause allergic reactions in sensitive pets, our specially formulated fresh scent is allergen free and designed by perfumerers with the concept of the Australian backyard in mind, so it is far less likely to cause a reaction.


It is also what Rufus & Coco 2in1 Oatmeal Wash does not contain that makes it better.

Rufus & Coco doesn’t contain the following harmful ingredients:

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)

Sulfate is a harsh (caustic) detergent that can damage the outer layer of the skin causing dryness, roughness, scaliness, flaking, loss of flexibility and reduction of the barrier functions of normal healthy skin. SLS is an ester of Sulphuric acid

Parabens

The use of mixtures of parabens allows the use of lower levels of other ingredients while increasing preservative activity. Parabens are esters of p-hydroxybenzoic acid.

Ethyoxylates

These non-ionic surfactants or detergents may be toxic to animals, ecosystems and humans, and can increase the diffusion of other environmental contaminants.
